Our D.C. DIY Ethos

The D.C. Metro area is largely credited with being one of the first punk scenes in the country. Bands like Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Government Issue, Void, Dag Nasty, and Scream were carving their own paths without the assistance from major labels. Making flyers, booking shows and tours, and releasing independent records was just a way of life for the forward thinking D.C. "punks."

For us at Overmodulated, we look to that old school hardcore community as a source of inspiration. They are the reason that we created our own brand, started playing music in bands, got involved in politics, began taking photos at concerts, learned Photoshop to make concert flyers and shirt designs, and most importantly chose to donate to worthwhile causes that make a difference.

*If you believe that a band’s shirt should be removed from our site, please email us at ovrmdultd@gmail.com and we’ll be more than happy to accommodate. Remember, we’re fans helping other fans and not money hungry capitalists.

We're very social. Visual proof below.
